HBCU TOUR 2025

Welcome to the 2025 HBCU Tour for Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences Students!

We at The Motivational Foundation are beyond excited to partner with Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences (DAAS) to host this transformative educational opportunity. This year’s tour promises to be an unforgettable journey, blending academic exploration, cultural enrichment, and personal growth.

The tour will take place from May 7 to May 10, 2025, and will highlight some of the most distinguished Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Virginia areas. Students will have the unique opportunity to visit Howard University, Morgan State University, Hampton University, and Norfolk State University. We encourage all interested students to click on the hyperlinks and begin exploring these incredible institutions!

In addition to campus visits, the itinerary includes enriching cultural and historical experiences, such as a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture and tours of iconic Washington, D.C. landmarks like the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. These activities are designed to deepen students' understanding of the history, heritage, and achievements of the Black community.

This five-day tour is more than a college visit—it’s a journey of discovery. Students will gain firsthand insights into college life, explore academic opportunities, and leave inspired to pursue their dreams. The trip will also provide a space for meaningful reflection and team-building, creating lifelong memories with peers.
